This collection consists of the correspondence of Carl August Johnson Sr. ("Gus") formerly of Mankato, Minnesota. Johnson worked as a teacher and lawyer for many years in the communities of Mankato and Lake Crystal. Johnson also served from 1962 until 1972 in the Minnesota House of Representatives. This collection consists of his correspondence from his time in the Minnesota House. Some topics discussed in the letters include abortion, transportation of school children, and tuition reimbursement plans.
